With reference to my letter of the 17th. September last, I have the honour by direction of the Licensing Board to inform you that the Board has had under reconsideration the question of the renewal, after the 30th. day of November, 1915, of the licences of the Imperial Hotel (formerly called the Cosmo- -politan Hotel), 65, Des Voeux Road Central, The New Travellers
Hotel, 70, Queen's Road Central, The Globe Hotel, 184, Queen's
Road Central, and the Rose, Shamrock and Thistle Hotel, 304 & 306
Queen's Road Central, and at a meeting held on the 21st. instant
unanimously decided to withdraw the lotice of the 8th. October last
given to the Licensees of these houses of the non-renewal of their
licences in 1915.

The Board find that in the four houses above
mentioned a bona fide Hotel busines in addition to a Publican's
business is being caried on.

The Board considers that as at present conduct- -ed the New Travellers and Imperial Hotels are good second-rate
Hotels, and that the Rose, Samrock and Thistle is a fair third-
rate Hotel. The Globe Hotel may be also classed as a third-rate
hotel but the buildings are old and the cubicles which XEXE serve
as sleeping rooms are not of a good type.
The Board considers that these 4 Hotels apply
supply accoul odation for a respectable class in the Comunity,
and they are prepared to renew the Licences, if the establishments
continue to be conducted to their savisfaction, on such conditions
for the regulation of the houses as the Board may consider desir-
-able.
